Day 1 - Arrival in Arusha
Once you land at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you must check in quickly. Then, a reliable and friendly representative from Ishi Africa Safaris will meet you at the airport. They'll assist you with your luggage and bring you to your pre-booked accommodation at the Arusha Lodge.
During your stay at the Lodge, you will be treated to exceptional hospitality, including a delectable dinner and comfortable overnight accommodations. Our team is dedicated to ensuring that your time in Tanzania is truly unforgettable, with a range of thrilling safari experiences available for your enjoyment. We warmly welcome you and eagerly anticipate your upcoming adventure.
Day 2 - Tarangire National Park
Your professional safari guide will meet you after breakfast to accompany you throughout your Tanzania Luxury Safari. You will then embark on a 2-hour drive to Tarangire National Park in a safari vehicle stocked with bottled water and other refreshments. Along the way, you can visit a Maasai market where you can purchase cultural items and meet some locals.
We will arrive at Tarangire National Park's gates in the early afternoon for a game drive. The park boasts a diverse geological landscape and rich biodiversity, including the world's highest concentration of bird species. During the dry season, millions of wildlife call the Tarangire River valley home, filling the park with Baobab trees.
We will take a break for a bush lunch at one of the park's excellent picnic areas before continuing our game drive. You will have the chance to see various wildlife such as waterbuck, giraffe, dik-dik, impala, eland, Grant's gazelle, vervet monkey, banded mongoose, and olive baboon, and we may also spot predators like lion, leopard, cheetah, caracal, honey badger, and African wild dog.
Following the game drive, we shall have dinner and spend the night at our accommodation.
Day 3 - Full Day Tarangire National Park
Following breakfast, an early morning game drive in Tarangire is scheduled. This particular park boasts a diverse range of wildlife, including lions, cheetahs, zebras, Cape buffalos, and over 400 species of birds. A notable feature of this park is the abundance of elephants assembling in large herds that are not often observed in other regions of Tanzania. We will spend several hours watching the animals. Once we have finished our activity, we will briefly intermit before returning to the lodge for a delectable and comforting lunch. The meal will be warm and satisfying, the perfect way to refuel and recharge for the rest of the day's adventures.
In the afternoon, guests may relax at the lodge or participate in a guided nature walk around Tarangire. Accompanied by a knowledgeable local guide and your guide, you will be taught about the park's diverse ecosystem.
Afterward, we will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay. Guests may socialize with other travelers about the day's events or retire to their rooms for the night. The following day promises to be another exciting day of exploration.
Day 4 - Cultural Activities
We'll start today's Tanzania Luxury Safari with a visit to a nearby village to experience the Maasai culture. As we arrive in the town, we'll be greeted by the mesmerizing tunes of Maasai traditional songs. The Maasai people wear vibrant clothing and have intricately decorated bodies.
During our visit, we'll learn about the Maasai's livestock management, natural medicine production, and cow-milking techniques. We'll also have the chance to meet the village's tribal leader, the "chief," who oversees all activities in the town.
After the village visit, we'll head to Karatu in our safari vehicles. We'll stop at Mto Wa Mbu village, a bustling town with diverse cultures to explore. We'll have a few hours to wander the local market, interact with the locals, and even purchase souvenirs.
We'll then enjoy a delightful local lunch at one of the picturesque restaurants where we can sample traditional African cuisine. Later, our guide will take us to our Karatu lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 5 - Serengeti National Park
We set off to Serengeti National Park after breakfast, delighted by the diverse wildlife we encountered. The plains close to the road leading to Serengeti are frequently inhabited by animals, allowing us to witness nature's beauty en route to the wildlife reserve. Once we reach the park, we will have a picnic lunch at a designated site before embarking on a half-day game drive to spot more animals. After lunch, we will continue with an afternoon game drive and a memorable bush dinner. Serengeti is home to over two million animals that migrate annually for food, including wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle. During the game drive, we may also catch a glimpse of predators such as cheetahs, leopards, and lions. After the game drive ends, our guide will take us to a lodge for dinner and an overnight stay. Later in the evening, we can socialize with fellow group members in the main dining tent or around the campfire, sharing our experiences. Alternatively, we may retire to our resting rooms for the night.
Day 6 - Full Day Serengeti National Park
It is designed to explore the vast expanse of the Serengeti plains, where wildlife sightings are high due to the tolerant temperature in the morning and late afternoon. The concentrations of wildlife species on the Serengeti plains is unparalleled, and if you’re lucky, you might see a big games from predators, including Cheetahs, Leopards, and Lions, while on a game drive.
You will return to your lodge in the afternoon for a hot lunch and relaxation before departing for a late afternoon game drive.
After lunch, your professional guide will take you on another late afternoon game drive where you can have chance to keep enjoying the beauty of Serengeti and finishing with great sundown. Drive back to your Lodge/Camp for dinner and overnight where all meals are inclusive
Day 7 - Serengeti National Park
It's a beautiful day, and you're invited to an incredible experience - a morning hot air balloon ride over the Serengeti plains. Watching the wildlife from above is a unique opportunity that cannot be missed. You'll be picked up early in the morning and driven to the balloon Safari site. After an hour-long ride, you'll have the chance to take memorable photos and cherish the experience forever. A breakfast with sparkling wine will follow, and then you'll meet your professional safari guide for a game drive to see even more of the Serengeti. Depending on the time of the year, you might catch millions of grazers and predators. After the game drive, your guide will take you to a lodge for dinner and overnight. You'll have plenty of time to relax, communicate with your loved ones, and share the day's best moments with your fellow tourists at the Lodge/Camp.
On this day you will have optional of relaxing at the Lodge/Camp in the afternoon after your lunch as you are coming from an early wakeup for balloon day.
Day 8 - Ngorongoro Crater
An early breakfast, thereafter we pack and proceed to Ngorongoro. On the way we will have stops to exit Serengeti and check-in for Ngorongoro. It's a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a fantastic place to catch sight of the "big five animals." The crater results from a collapsed volcano and the largest intact caldera ever!
The year-round water supply and forages make it a diverse habitat for predators and prey. We may even see the world's largest elephant herds in the forested areas. For lunch, we'll have a picnic on the crater floor before heading out for a game drive, where we can spot buffalo, lions, leopards, and other animals. Keep your eyes peeled for the few remaining black rhinos and hippopotamuses! We'll also visit Lake Magadi, a Salt Lake that draws a large population of pink flamingos. As the afternoon rolls around, we'll head back to our lodge in Karatu, taking in the beautiful scenery.
Day 9 - Departure

Along the way, you can explore different activities at your leisure before continuing your journey. Once you arrive in Arusha, you can have a tasty lunch.
